Alex is a multi-disciplinary artist who visually and often three-dimensionally communicates her strong emotional responses to the world. With degrees in both psychology and studio arts from the University of Rochester, Alex explores her role as an artist, human ally, and advocate for social justice. Beyond her studio practice, Alex is actively engaged with her community through socially engaged art, currently developing projects that explore the meaning of citizenship and address environmental and social justice challenges in Rochester. Her professional achievements include a grant from GVCA and exhibitions at local venues such as AS/IS gallery, The Yards Collective, and the Rochester Contemporary Arts Center.
